Ko Soo and Shin Ha Kyu underwent 5 weeks of military training for GOJIJEON

In order for the cast to have a more realistic feel of the actual battlefield, the film’s lead actors as well as extras underwent 5 weeks of military training.

The actors had to experience the tension of hiding themselves while advancing up the lonely mountains without looking back. Fitness training was conducted on a daily basis so that the actors would have the physical strength to climb the rugged terrains because there was no special equipment or tool to go up the dangerous mountains.

Training in shooting, falling face down and falling again while running lasted for 5 weeks. In addition, for the cast to have a real feel of gun fire at the battlefied, live firing was conducted at the shooting range. The 30 stunt actors and lead actors of the Alligator Squadron had to go through such training unconditionally. Ko Soo said that while shooting GOJIJEON, he lived and trained as a soldier. He usually woke up at 4 am before dawn and fall asleep at night at about 10 pm.

GOJIJEON will be released on 21st July.
