The release of BEHIND THE SCENE video for the 10 billion blockbuster GOJIJEON

The 6-month process of filming GOJIJEON was not an easy one. Thorough historical research had to be done and every tiny little detail had to be looked into. It was therefore no surprise that the production cost rose to 10 billion won.
Mission 1: Constructing an authentic mountain as the backdrop
The work had to be done bit by bit by hand as it was steep and equipment could not reach the mountain. And it had to have the 1950’s look. The Arts Director also had a tough time with the costumes and make-up.
Mission 2: Custom-made camera for filming
The second difficulty was to purchase a special camera to film the highland battle scenes in the high mountain. They needed a ‘flying’ camera. In the end, they made use of 2 telephone poles and connected the 2 poles with a wire at the top to make sure that the camera could move freely between the 2 poles.
Mission 3: Transforming the actors into military personnel
Daily physical training was conducted for the actors over 5 weeks. Live-firing training was also carried out to let the actors have a feel of actual gun battle.
GOJIJEON will be released on the 21st of next month.
