A place for celebrity sightings 
The recent appearance of several celebrities at Hwasun, the film location for GOJIJEON, has brought it back to the limelight.
Director Jang Hun has been actively shooting GOJIJEON in an old forest at Hwasun. The cast Ko Soo, Shin Ha-kyun, Kim Ok-bin, Ko Chang-seok and other famous actors are making appearances there en masse.
GOJIJEON is a Korean war movie about the fierce battle to occupy a small piece of land after the cease-fire in 1953.
Since 6th October, the production for GOJIJEON has been filming the highlight of the movie – the combat scene in which the film’s hero Kim Suh-yeok (played by Ko Soo) died a heroic death in battle while defending the country.
Apart from GOJIJEON, Hwasun has also been the film location for KBS’s historical drama KING GEUNCHOGO in view of its brilliant history and rich culture.
An average of about 200 – 300 people including celebrity stars and crew set up camp at Hwasun for 1 - 2 weeks during the location filming. For the duration of the shoot, residents would often see celebrities around the hot spring and restaurant areas where autographs are often sought.
