“Filming GOJIJEON is like hell”

Shin Ha Kyun and Ko Soo are in the middle of shooting GOJIJEON. Shin has revealed his predicament in an interview with “My Daily” that filming GOJIJEON is hard and unbearable. “I’m worried about the big battle scenes. There are 3. Filming is like hell really. But my sense of expectation for the movie is high”.

The movie is helmed by Director Jang Hun. Filming started in Sep 2010 in Jeonju with the capture of the two main characters (Ko Soo and Shin Ha Kyun) as prisoners of war by North Korean military in the first battle. GOJIJEON is a story which takes place during a negotiation for truce between the 2 Koreas while soldiers are still battling for the recapture of the highlands.



During each shoot, the actors have to climb up the mountains and it is difficult. “We have to wear heavy helmets with a gun and walk 15 minutes up the mountains during each shoot. It’s tiring. And it is difficult to get off the mountains for a meal”, said Shin Ha Kyun.



As for Ko Soo, he has sent pictures of himself rolling in the mud to his PSYCHIC director Kim Min Suk. “Filming is grueling and I’m dead tired. There are 3 similar scenes like that”, Ko Soo told Director Kim who felt distressed on hearing that.



GOJIJEON stars Ko Soo and Shin Ha Kyun. Ko Soo plays officer Kim Su Hyuk of the Alligator Squadron which fights the communist while Shin is his friend Lieutenant Gang who is sent to the squadron to hunt down a betrayer.



Shooting is underway. GOJIJEON is scheduled for release in the middle of next year.

Read from SBS site that Ko Soo will be attending a Merrell autograph session on 20th November at 3 pm (didn’t indicate where). They are rallying members to attend and to have the gifts ready by Tuesday. Some suggestions from fans were Kiehl’s moisturing cream, hand creams and lip balms because Ko Soo will be filming outdoors in the cold winter. (Haha the fans are so cute and thoughtful!).

Read fans’ response to Ko Soo’s message in Daum. All of them said that PSYCHIC is ‘fresh’ and is fun. All fans want him to take care of his health, use his scarf when cold and take plenty of vitamins. And especially must take care when filming GOJIJEON.
