GOJIJEON will be screened in 160 theatres nationwide for 2 days on 16 & 17 July. And there will be a stage greeting on Sunday, 17th July by Director Jang, Ko Soo and Shin Ha Kyun in Seoul .

GOJIJEON – Ko Soo films death scene on his birthday
Actor Ko Soo revealed, “I felt strange shooting a scene in which I died on my birthday, of all things”.
In an interview with TV Report on 15th July, Ko Soo said that filming for GOJIJEON started in September last year over a period of 6 months. 4th October was his birthday, but unfortunately he had to shoot the scene in which he was killed in battle on that day. Though it was his birthday, he didn’t tell his manager, “And the staff wouldn’t know either”, he laughed.
He remembers vividly that last scene where he faced off with “2 seconds” played by Kim Ok Bin. It was a difficult scene to shoot.
Ko Soo revealed, “The film encompasses 4 seasons over a 6-month shoot. And it was not possible to film in time sequence. A lot of preparations had to be done for a ‘killed-in-battle’ scene. The crew had to get ready uniforms with bullet holes and the actor had to go through a grueling emotional performance for that scene. It was tough on the director”.
Asked what was his impression doing a war film for the first time, Ko Soo replied that there were 5 major battle scenes and he prayed for the safety of everyone when shooting those scenes. There were big and small injuries, but fortunately filming was completed safely. It was truly a blessing.
After completing GOJIJEON, Ko Soo has a growing interest in war documentaries on TV. He is also concerned about the North and South situation.
He recounted that when filming was cancelled on one Sunday, he went mountain climbing with the juniors in Jeonju and they had so much fun drinking and eating.
Ko Soo portrays Kim Soo Hyuk, a lieutenant of the Alligator squadron who experiences many emotional changes during the war. He meets his university mate played by Shin Ha Kyun who later becomes his opponent. GOJIJEON is Ko Soo’s 4th film after SOME, WHITE NIGHT and PSYCHIC.

โกซู เปิดเผยว่า "ผมรู้สึกแปลกๆ ที่ต้องถ่ายทำฉากต้องตายในวันคล้ายวันเกิด"
ในการสัมภาษณ์ เมื่อวันที่ 15 กับ TV Report โกซู บอกว่า การถ่ายทำ เริ่มต้นเมื่อ กันยายนปีที่แล้ว

ก็จะต้องแสดงอารมณ์ ให้ถึงพริกถึงขิง ในฉากนั้น เป็นเรื่องยากมากในการที่จะกำกับทีเดียวครับ"
เมื่อถามว่าเขาประทับใจอะไร ในการเล่นหนังสงครามเป็นครั้งแรก โกซู ตอบว่า มีฉากต่อสู้ใหญ่ๆ อยู่ถึง 5 ฉาก
และเขาสวดมนต์ ภาวนาให้ทุกคนปลอดภัย มีทั้งบาดเจ็บใหญ่ๆ และบาดเจ็บเล็กน้อย
แต่โชคดีที่หนังก็ถ่ายทำผ่านพ้น ด้วยความสมบูรณ์ และปลอดภัย โชคดีจริงๆ
หลังจากจบจาก Gojijeon โกซู มีความสนใจเพิ่มขึ้นในหนังสารคดี สงครามทางทีวี
