“Psychic” tops this year’s advance sales ratio with more than 80%, a breakthrough following “Monster” four years ago
Movie PSYCHIC recorded the best advance sales ratio this year.
According to Korea ’s biggest movie ticketing site (www.maxmovie.com), PSYCHIC took in 83.96% share of advance ticket sale on its opening day (10th November) and sets a record for being the best this year. It surpasses ‘Moss’ which achieved 65.67% early this year. No other film has gone beyond the 80% mark, except for “Monster” which was some 4 years ago.
Kim Hyon Ho, a manager of Max Movie analysed that, “The good sales result for PSYCHIC is due largely to the star power of the two lead actors. Although the movie is of a masculine sci-fi genre, but female audiences comprise 69% of total attendance”.
During the soft opening at the premiere last week, audiences gave the actors a perfect rating of 10 out of 10. This shows a high level of satisfaction for the casting.
